Personnel & Materials Hoists are temporary work platforms used for providing logistical support, transferring personnel and materials during a construction process. These courses will ensure you can not only operate them, but above all operate them safely.
There are two licence classes that qualify individuals to work with and operate hoists:
- Personnel & Materials Hoists (HP)
- Materials Only Hoists (HM)
First of all, these units require the operator to plan work, conduct routine checks of controls and operation. Secondly, you'll conduct hoist operation, shut down and secure a hoist. Most importantly, hoists are available on site for your to get hands on with operating the equipment. As a result you'll have practical 'real life' experience when you obtain your licence.
Courses are based upon the National Standard for Licensing Persons Performing High Risk Work. On the Job Training delivers training on behalf of WorkSafe Connect (Registered Training Organisation (RTO) – 31385). In other words, all hoist training and assessment is conducted with On the Job Training and accreditation issued by Worksafe Connect.
